Statement of Faith
We believe in:
-
The only true God, the Almighty Creator of all things, existing eternally in three persons – Father, Son, and Holy Spirit – full of love and glory.
-
Jesus Christ, fully human and fully divine, who lived as a perfect example, paid the penalty for mankind’s sin by dying in our place, and was bodily raised from the dead and ascended as Savior and Lord.
-
The indwelling presence and transforming power of the Holy Spirit, who gives to all believers a new life and a new calling to obedient service.
-
The victorious reign and future personal return of Jesus Christ, who will judge all people with justice and mercy, giving over the unrepentant to eternal condemnation but receiving the redeemed into eternal life.
-
Justification by God's grace; the free gift to all who repent and put their faith in Jesus Christ alone for salvation.
-
The uniqueness, divine inspiration, entire trustworthiness and authority of the Bible
-
The value and dignity of all people: created in God's image to live in love and holiness, but alienated from God and each other because of our sin and guilt, and justly subject to God's wrath.
-
The spiritual unity of believers through our common faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, and that individual doctrinal differences which may exist, outside of this statement of faith, should not hinder the unity of Christian home educators.
Mission
We want to cultivate a community of likeminded believers where we can mentor, support and encourage each other while serving Christ and our community.
Membership Information:
CHEA is a Christian organization. It bases all of its policies and actions on Christian principles, taking the Holy Bible as its moral and spiritual guide. We support Christian values, the Biblical definition of a family, and home education.
We request that all members and their families respect these values at all CHEA-related meetings and activities. We have a statement of faith, which our members are required to read.
CHEA meets at churches and facilities regularly, but we are completely autonomous from these facilities. The church/facility in use assumes no liability regarding the CHEA homeschool group or its activities. Churches graciously allow us to use their facilities, but are not involved in our group nor provide supervision or oversight of any kind. Also, as families choose to become a part of CHEA, parents are responsible for the direction and supervision of their children within the homeschool group. CHEA does not assume liability for accident or injury during any activities/events.
Decisions will be made by a majority vote of CHEA members.
Membership fee is $20 annually. All membership directory information is to be kept confidential.

If you are interested in joining CHEA, please email us and we will send you a membership form. We would love to get to know you.
